Our Training

ASC Conceal Carry Training provides each student with the training required for the Illinois Conceal Carry License. Training can be offered in both individual and group settings depending on the needs of the student.
 

Training meets the state of Illinois mandates for hours in the classroom, shooting qualification and time spent on the range.

Our training instructors have real world experience with firearms and how to handle them.  Each instructor has a Law Enforcement background as well as decades of training both Law Enforcement and civilians in firearms handling and tactics. Instructors are certified through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation as Illinois Firearms Instructors. They also maintain certifications with the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board and the National Rifle Association.

At the conclusion of the training, a certificate of completion is provided stating that the student has satisfied the training requirements to apply for the Illinois Concealed Carry License.

Equipment

​

Handguns can either be rented from ASC or provided by the student.

Additional equipment (required by the student):

• Approximately 200 rounds of handgun ammunition

• Basic range safety gear such as eye and ear protection

​

ASC will provide the NRA B27 target.

Training Locations

​

Conceal Carry Training is conducted at various locations in the state of Illinois.  Depending on a client's location, we aim to schedule trainings in areas of the state that best suit each client's need.

Requirements​

​

1. A valid FOID card must be submitted to Aware Security Consultants prior to training for transporting the weapon or ammunition.

2. Applicants for the Illinois Conceal Carry license must be 21 years of age or older.
